An interview and an introduction (Monday 12/5/2011)

First we met with the Ministry of Education.  They really wanted to make sure that we were serious about adoption (nah, over the past year we spent countless hours completing paperwork, money, and dealing with a spectrum of emotions for fun..oh, and we just traveled 5,000 miles to come meet her....no we're not very serious ;)).  One lady in particular asked us twice if we were certain we were prepared to take care of our little girl.  Well, we must have given a satisfactory answer because we were permitted to go to the orphanage.  We met with the director and the doctor where I was expected to take notes about our little girl's medical record (they spoke crazy fast, even with our translator!).

Then we met our little girl.  She is just the sweetest.  She has a strong spirit.  She really liked the toys we gave her and seemed to love the attention as well.  She wanted to walk around with our help, they say she runs when she's in her walker.  It was so wonderful to finally meet her.  It seemed like a dream!  Today (12/6) we get to spend more time with her, can't wait!

We went to the grocery store on our way back to the hotel.  Bought some bottled water, half a chicken, some cheese, baked potatoes, bread, and some yummy stuffed bread (we'll have to ask again what it was called).
