I hate goodbyes!

Today was our last full day in Krasnodar.  We had a few hours before our visit to the orphanage, so Tanya offered to show us some of the sights of the city.  We saw Pushkin square, a statue of Katherine the Great, and Katherine's Cathedral.  We also saw a cool WWII memorial in tribute to the men who fought to push out the Germans who occupied the city twice.  My favorite part of that one is the statue showing Saint George slaying the dragon.

We got to see our little girl one last time, and she was in a happy mood.  It's probably good that she doesn't know what's going on with us, but I know she'll miss us for a couple days until she gets back into her old routine.  It ended too soon, and we left a blanket and a few toys for her to have until we come back.  Hopefully the staff will give them to her occasionally.  Wish we could just take her home with us now.  It'll be another two months or so before we get back, hope it goes quick.

We were able to send a few post cards, and eat supper at a nice traditional Russian restaurant.  I have enjoyed all the foods we've tried while we have been here.  I think we will be trying some new recipes when we get home!  It's 4:30 in the morning now, and we're about to leave for the airport.  Another 30 hours or so, and we should be close to home.  Then we sleep!
