We have been anxiously awaiting this day. We received official word today that our court date is February 15th! We will leave for Russia on the 12th, arriving on the 13th, which means we will get to be with our daughter on Valentines Day. We saw a recent picture of her today. She is changing a little, and is sooo cute. We just love her so much and can't wait to bring her home!
I was reading in Proverbs last night. What an awesome verse (which lead to several verses) the Lord lead me to. So encouraging and fitting as we prepare to go to court for our daughter.
"Do not exploit the poor because they are poor and do not crush the needy in court, for the Lord will take up their case and will plunder those who plunder them." Proverbs 22:22-23
"Do not...encroach on the fields of the fatherless, for their Defender is strong, he will take up their case against you." Proverbs 23:11
"Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow." Isaiah 1:17
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families..." Psalm 68:5-6
Glory to God! He is our Defender!
Please pray for our family as we prepare for this trip and court.
