Valentines Day Visit

We visited the orphanage today!  Our little girl wasn't sure about us at first, but once she saw the rattle (we brought a copy of the one we left with her last time) we brought her, she decided Jen was OK.  Unfortunately, she wanted no parts of me, and started crying as soon as I tried to hold her.  She's walking now with support, and I did manage to get her permission to walk around the room a bit with her.  Jen had fun with the response she got by tickling her.  We offered a few different 'melt in your mouth' type baby snacks, but apparently they were really weird to her from the response we got.  You would have thought we tried to give her a pickle or something.  Spent a bit more time with her today than we did on our visits from the last trip.  We'll see tomorrow how bad we over-stimulated her!  After our first visit in December, she cried the whole night.

We did some grocery shopping after our visit to the orphanage.  Got some Пирожки (Pirozhki), some freshly made local Kielbasa, Pepsi (Dr Pepper is not available) , water (non-sparkling), sandwich makings, and some government approved mayonnaise.  I hope it's better quality than 'government' cheese!  Bought a Russian Valentine's Day card for my sweetheart today.  It was one to remember for sure.  Also finally got a picture good enough for a passport, so we got those pictures made while running our errands.
